There’s this girl in our neighborhood who, out of nowhere, started throwing herself at me. I tried to push her away, but she kept coming back, asking me to take her out and even coming to my place in the evenings to watch Netflix. I was afraid she might already be pregnant and was looking for someone to pin it on, so I tried as much as possible to avoid her.

Months passed, and she still looked normal. One day, she came over to watch Netflix, and it happened. She confessed that she had liked me for a very long time and had been hoping this would happen.

While we were in the middle of it, I heard a knock on the door. I asked who it was, but the knocking continued without the person saying a word. I asked her to get dressed while I went to check who was at the door.

I opened it, and it was her mother.

“I know my daughter is here. Where is she?”

Before I could say a word, the woman had already walked into my room, shouting at her daughter. She hadn’t even finished getting dressed. The woman turned to me and asked, “Are you going to marry my daughter? Why is she in your bed? What did you do to her? Should I scream so everyone will know what you just did to my daughter?”

I was dumbfounded. While I was trying to explain myself, her daughter quietly finished dressing without saying a word.

I told her mother we were in a relationship, and she screamed, “Just because you’re in a relationship, you’re spreading her legs like this? How much did you pay me?”

The woman took GHC500 from me before leaving.

Nowadays, she calls me asiw. She’ll come and knock on my door and ask me to give her something. No matter how little I give her, she collects it and leaves. I’m no longer seeing her daughter, but her mother still comes around demanding money.

I’m going to move away because of her. I slept with her daughter just once, and now I’m paying GHC10 or GHC50 whenever she meets me. And if I tell her I don’t have any money, the way she behaves makes it seem as though I’m still sleeping with her daughter and she’s caught us again.

What kind of devilish behavior is that?
