My boyfriend is a baby daddy. Which is not a problem, right? There is also no problem with the fact that he has three different baby mamas, who have borne him four children.

Truth be told, I don’t even know whether he has more children out there, but for now, I know of four. He first said he had only two children, twins even. Later, I found out about the third child. He said it was a slip of the tongue, that he meant three children. We moved past that, and then a fourth one appeared on the scene. Hopefully, another one doesn’t appear again.

He keeps telling me that we will discuss the many children he has later, but for now, we should fix our gaze on our current problems.

We quarrel a lot, too much. I complain about his “I don’t care” behaviour towards me and push for him to stand right by me as my boyfriend.

He is 34, and I am only 25. While we have only been dating for four months, everyone in my house has heard of him, but I am yet to see what his mother looks like, or even his best friend, and I am in despair because of this.

He also doesn’t have a boundary with his baby mamas. We always quarrel a lot about that one.

I believe he doesn’t go with the “no contact and only interact if it isn’t about the kids” rule, especially with his last one, whom he shares two kids with. Those two ended the relationship because he cheated on her, and she ended up cheating back on him.

Any advice from both men and women on how to go about the situation of dating a man who has kids? What is expected from me and from him too so that our relationship can work? Are there any boundaries or lines that need to be drawn?
