If you haven’t read the first part of this story, here’s the link. Kindly read it before starting this one.
My boyfriend has often been sceptical about my male friends because he thinks they all like me. I don’t know why he thinks that. I have not done anything to make him think otherwise. Besides, if I were doing that, do you think I’d tell him everything?
I tell him about new people I meet, who proposed to me, and what I’m doing. “Hey, babe, I just returned from work and I’m about to prepare dinner. Bae, that man I told you about, he said he likes me.”Then we’d laugh over it.
We’re in a long-distance relationship, and we’ve dated for four years. I love him so much more than words should say, and I don’t intend to hurt him in any way.
The story was posted here, and I received a lot of bashing. Names, I don’t seem fit. Most days, there are two sides to a story, and it is paramount that my side be heard. It is not fair that I get called cheap and he receives empathy.
What happened was I met this guy one evening when I was returning home from an errand. He spoke to me from his car and took my number. This new guy was insisting I meet him outside to talk, though it was past 10 p.m. I declined. I told my boyfriend about it, and we talked and even laughed it off.
“Some girlfriend, you want to use small minutes to take her,” he said. I responded, “Don’t mind him at all. The way I am, I’m even tired, ee.”
The guy is from Accra. He comes here for a day or two because of work, and he leaves back to Accra. The next day after meeting me, he left for Accra. Then, the next week, he told me he’d be returning to Takoradi for work and that he’d like us to hang out.
I’m currently not fully employed, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to hang out with him since I have nothing to do. I finished my chores and was just doomscrolling on the internet. A little outing wouldn’t be bad for the girl.
I informed my boyfriend about this hangout. He wasn’t happy about it. He’s never been fully happy with me hanging out with male friends, so I understood.
This new guy and I hung out, and he decided we’d go to the mall. On our way, he received a call and mentioned to me that his boss would like to have a meeting briefly with the staff, so he wouldn’t be long. He suggested I wait for him in his hotel room. He already had a hotel room booked because he had come here for work. He didn’t book the hotel like that, as the story published indicated.
I also suggested he leave me at the mall to wait for him because he said the meeting wouldn’t take long. He said he didn’t want me wandering at the mall like a ghost. He wouldn’t feel comfortable, so I should go wait for him at his hotel room.
I was jittery and anxious, thinking about what I had gotten myself into. He saw it and assured me he was not going to harm me. Even as a not-so-complete stranger, I felt a little safe and decided to take the risk.
When we got to the hotel, he just directed the receptionist to open the door for me. This guy did not come anywhere close to his hotel room. He just drove off to his meeting. I waited alone in the room. He wasn’t there. And when he returned, he sat in his car, called me, and directed me to lock the door and leave the key with the receptionist. The guy did not come anywhere close to the room I was waiting in.
I’m transparent with my boyfriend concerning what I do, especially because we’re in a long-distance relationship and I need him to trust me as much as I trust him. If he has trust issues, it’s all on him.
Is There A Man Out There Who Doesn’t Cheat?
I’m not for the street, as some comments said. I’m a very decent and well-trained lady. This new guy is just a friend, and I never intend for our friendship to go any further than what it is. My boyfriend overthinks, and I’m very hurt that instead of letting tempers calm down so we could discuss this, he came here to broadcast it. Now, when you go through the comments, almost everyone is calling me names. Slut. Prostitute. All of it.
Did it excite him when he saw all those people calling me names? How did he feel? This one really takes the cake.

The optics are not in your favour mydear. But you gambled with your life because anything could have happened. Every man in your boyfriends shoes will feel insecure and break up with you even. I pray you get job soon. Devil finds work for idle hands.
After reading from both sides, I still think you acted like a whore. No sane man would tolerate or accept what you did. Regardless of whether something happened between you and the new guy, like the previous commenter said, “the optics are not in your favor”. Your boyfriend is right to feel the way he did.
You didn’t try my dear, we live in a very dangerous world where people are getting missing here and there. Anything could have happened so please becareful. Your boyfriend is right to think that way.
Girl, you have no business hanging out with another man in such a manner when you have a boyfriend. But what at all do you find in this new man that you have to hang out with him. Couldn’t you just tell him you’re busy and let him go find another girl to entertain him while he is in his “work visit”?
Will you be happy if it was your boyfriend who asking another girl to go wait for him in a hotel room he booked prior.
You certainly were entertaining this new man because you hope of building something with him otherwise you have no business entertaining him
It starts by being friend and u went further going to his hotel room, look at it the other way around if it were your partner that did same how would u take it?You are throwing yourself cheaply and bcos u don’t have a job is not à reason for u to be doing that with a stranger. What if u are killed or something bad happen to u,do u look at all the risk associated with your going to his hotel room and how are we even sure your rejoinder is the truth.
A stranger who was in his car called you
You gave him your number and stated talking to him.
He lives in Accra and comes around once in a while.
Your boyfriend is never okay with you hanging out with your male friends. …. Ei, sone guys are really suffering oo.
To be honest with you, You are a big red flag. Right from the beginning you knew what you were doing. Your boyfriend probably likes you too much so is not seeing things clearly. Please you can decieve him with this cock and bull story. Not the rest of us.
If you have been in a relationship for four years like you said and really love your boyfriend, why are you giving your number out and hanging out with strangers. Are you single and searching? You know what you are doing. What prevented you from going back home and he picking you up later. I dont belive your story…. and because you told him doesn’t make you right. The guy should leave you and have some decent girl. You can also look for a “secure” guy who will allow you to hangout with every male and even end up in thier hotel rooms.
Something definitely happened in that hotel room. If the guy is reading, he should leave you. Stop deceiving yourself. YOU ARE NOT A DECENT GIRL. dont use that word for yourself.
You not seeing anything wrong with your action says a lot coupled with the fact that you’re in a long distance relationship- meaning it’s probably routine for you. Stories abound of young women getting raped or missing under such circumstances. Get productive with your time.
Unanimous
Congratulations to everyone for not mincing words here.
Hope she learns something 🙏
You don’t seem to get it. Still defending the indefensible,no less. Well… hopefully your ‘insecure’ boyfriend leaves you for someone who won’t hang out with other guys while you find someone who doesn’t mind the nonsense.
My sister leave him. He is a narcissist and insecure man
Let’s be honest, the new guy is a friend who’s interested in you, trying to win your heart through this little things to gain your trust to destroy your relationship. The saying goes corrupt a man’s head with a gift. You have no business being there in the first place. But let’s say he’s a genuine friend, ask him if he will be cool to find out his girlfriend is in another male friend’s hotel room. It all comes to money my dear. If you boyfriend is having the car and all that. You won’t see it & be influenced that much.
Be sincere with yourself. Cuz you trust him soon you be in love… that’s his goal and you are giving him that chance…
But you could have just gone home!!!!!!!!!! Anaa me boa.
Frimpomaa, leave him and go your way. We all make mistakes. Some people talk as if all the decisions they’ve made were right. Yes, it must be admitted that your decision wasn’t the best but the names calling are equally not the best.
Your boyfriend had a right to be unhappy with what you did, but he had no right to call you derogatory names. To insult you and call you a whore and a slut.
You have a problem with boundaries and your boyfriend is immature and abusive.
I sincerely doubt that you had any intention of cheating, but most people lack critical thinking skills and like to respond emotionally.
You’re in a long distance relationship. You could easily cheat on your boyfriend again and again and he wouldn’t find out. If you were really cheating, then you telling your boyfriend that you were in a hotel room waiting for your friend would be like a criminal calling the police to inform them about his crime before he commits it.
If your boyfriend was a serious person, he could have detailed his objections in a mature way instead of insulting you. A serious conversation about boundaries and avoiding danger would have done so much more than the nonsense that he did.
Take it as a learning experience moving forward. Avoid going into hotel rooms with men that you barely know because it’s dangerous for you. Also learn to date someone who values and trusts you.
Another thing is that when you show someone that you don’t value their honesty, you teach them how to lie.
If they ever get back together, then she’ll learn to lie about things that she senses he won’t be happy about.
An honest partner is a gift that most people don’t value until they end up with pathological liars . This girl openly tells her boyfriend when she’s doing questionable things. There are many people in the comments section shouting that they won’t take it whose partners do much worse behind their backs.
