My girlfriend was out for a hangout with a friend she had just met recently, a male friend, but ended up in a hotel at the end of the day. When she told me about her newfound friend, I was skeptical about him. But she went on to say that he just wanted to be friends and, “I have you; what else will I need? Besides, he stays out of town. I will only see him if he comes around and invites me for a hangout.”

The next thing was, days later, she said he was in town and wanted to hang out. I told her to be careful and have fun. For me, I was supposed to pick up a package for my sister, so that was what I was going to do and then rest for the rest of the day.

I couldn’t catch the rest and was scrolling on her internet when she messaged me again, bringing an update on the hangout. How does a hangout turn into my girlfriend being in a hotel room, waiting for a man she had just met?

She said they were supposed to go to a mall, but because of a work emergency, the guy said they should just book a hotel that was closest to the mall while he rushed to fix the emergency and return.

I was so angry that I started calling her all the slutty names that came to the top of my tongue because how does she end up in a hotel with a man she barely knows? Isn’t that the life of a …? She didn’t even let me have the last words. We both burst out insulting each other.

Maybe I acted out of order when I called her names and threw all those derogatory words at her. Did I? Even worse is that she sees nothing wrong with the whole drama. I’m confused and have a lot running through my mind.
