My name is Akyaa Abigail, and I currently live in Asamankese in the Eastern Region. I’m writing with a heavy heart, hoping your platform can help me locate my mother’s family. It has been a long and painful journey, and I am pleading for your help.
I never saw my mother. According to the story my late father told us, my parents divorced when I was barely a year old. My elder sister was just three. We were born in Techiman and later moved to Kofi Pare, where the divorce happened. My father was a chainsaw operator, and everyone knew him by the name “Amerigo.”

He told us that after the divorce, my mother got married again but still tried to stay in our lives. She would visit us with items and even begged my father to let us spend time with her so we could know her family. But my father refused. He never allowed it.
Later, he received news that my mother had died while trying to deliver a child. Her family, we were told, had been searching for us ever since—because we were her first children. But my father never allowed us to meet them.
Growing up, we tried many times to find her family, but every effort failed. My father wouldn’t give us any information. He passed away last year. Before his death, my sister managed to persuade him to tell us something, anything, about our mother.
He said our mother was a Krobo woman, and her family lives around Osudoku, in a place called Asutware. He said her father, Akakpo, was a herbalist who married two wives. He also told us our mother’s name: Korkor Mercy.

We’ve tried using this information to find them, but nothing has worked. We are still searching.
So far, we’ve received three prophecies from different men of God, all saying the same thing: that our mother is deeply sad that we don’t know her family. That she wants us to find them. That it is important for our destiny.
I believe strongly that your platform can help us. Please, help me find where they are. Help me reconnect with the family I never knew. I am waiting, and I am hoping. Please don’t keep me long.

Your dad provided you with some basic information about your mother and where she comes from. That information should be your starting point. Find one weekend and travel to the Asutware town and look for an opinion leader say the assembly member or the chief and narrate your story to him. This will a good starting point to finding your mother’s family.
As for the prophecies, they should have come with a clear direction as to how to locate your mother’s family. If those prophecies only tell you that your destiny is tied to you finding your mum’s family but doesn’t give a clear direction as how to fo that, then you shouldn’t place much premium on it.
It’s remarkable how so receptive we are about prophesies from so-called prophets/men of God but quick to condemn our traditional priests and practices as evil. Let’s not begrudge each other’s faith.
