My boyfriend and I have spoken about everything else under the sun except for my cooking skills. So, I asked him about it. “Babe, you didn’t even ask if I know how to cook.” He asked me why there was a need to ask if I know how to cook when I am a woman.
I responded, “What if I don’t know how to cook and the only meal I know how to make is noodles? I like it. Why, can’t you cook for us?” He replied, “Yes, I can. I can cook for the two of us.”

I was about to text back, “What a sweet man you are,” when he interrupted me, saying, “You better go and learn how to cook.” The next thing he said sounded more like a warning. “Does it make sense to you that your husband should be cooking for you?”
When I responded that it wasn’t a big deal for my husband to cook for me, he called me mannerless. So I told him, “That is why, at age 31, I still found you single and wrecked. You don’t think it is weird.”
First, he said, “I know what to tell you, but I will not waste my time on you.” I don’t know what happened, whether he changed his mind or what, but the insults flowed afterwards. “That is why you will stay in your father’s house for a very long time. You don’t know how to cook at your prime age, and you are happy about it.”
Is There A Man Out There Who Doesn’t Cheat?
I think he has blocked me because I keep texting him and it just ticks once, meanwhile he is always online. I have sent him an apology, saying I’m sorry if what I said made him that angry, bearing my heart out to him.
All the same, I am worried and concerned too. What if I had been with him when I said it? Would he have raised his hands at me?

Are you rage-baiting or planning to eat noodles everyday of your life? Learn culinary skills as an African woman before thinking of marriage so your mother isn’t questioned as to how you were raised. Your husband can help occasionally but you should take charge of the kitchen!
It appears you both are a little immature and unprepared gor marriage at this point.
Cooking is a life skill for anyone (FEMALE or MALE). I am curious to know if it was just pull strings or you truly meant that you only do know of cooking noodles or pasta only. Now is not a bad time to spend some time learning before either of you leaves the shelter of your parents.
There will be days you will need to take just liquid food, for instance. And what would either of you do on such days; call your parents or order? Though that is possible, wouldn’t it be much better if you had options at your fingertips for a rainy day?
In another instance, it might run deeper than just food. You both need to learn better communication without hurting the other party. All that was uncalled for (from both ends).
Some space and self-introspection should sort both of you out.
