We were colleagues before we became lovers, working in the same office. I went to work very early to avoid traffic. Soon, she also started coming to work very early. We were able to use the time available to us to plan our love life and how to keep it a secret from our other colleagues.
We dated for almost a year, and no one knew about it. Yes, some people suspected it, but we didn’t give them enough evidence to confirm their claims.
Every Christmas, our office gave out gifts to customers. It could be microwaves, blenders, utensils, and other beautiful home appliances.
One early morning, I was in the office with Dufie when the truck came to offload the gifts. It was almost Christmas. When they finished offloading them into the storeroom and left, we went inside to check out the things. Dufie asked, “So if we pick some of the things, do you think they’ll know?”
When I came to work the next day, I picked up the storeroom keys, opened it, and took a microwave. When work closed, I told her what I had done, and she screamed, “Eii, you actually did it?”
I answered, “Let’s see. If they don’t find out, I will go for another one.”
So I gave that microwave to her, and unfortunately for me, the keys were removed from their original place. Three days later, they were looking for the microwave. They announced that it was missing. Some said the suppliers didn’t deliver it. We added our voices. A few hours later, the news died down.
Dufie kept the microwave, and it became an inside story we told and laughed about.
Our love story didn’t last another year. She caught me with another girl she knew very well. It was a mistake I admitted and apologised for, but she was so angry that she didn’t want to see or hear from me again. I understood and gave her space. She texted to tell me it was over. I pleaded for one more chance.
One morning, I went to the office and had a message that HR was looking for me. I got there, and the whole disciplinary committee was seated, with Dufie standing in the middle. They asked her to narrate the story again, and she said, “Yes, he stole the microwave. He told me himself. He brought it to me for safekeeping, but he never came for it again.”
I was so shocked that I started stuttering when they asked me to talk. Dufie had brought the microwave to the office as evidence. That was the end of me in that office.
Is There A Man Out There Who Doesn’t Cheat?
I texted her, “You think you’ll go scot-free? Watch and see.”
That message ended up with the police. She said I had threatened her. I had to sign a bond before I was released. Now I can’t even text or call her because I don’t know the next thing she would do. I’m jobless while she wakes up every morning and goes to work.
I’m still bitter and flawed, but I leave her in the hands of God. I know she won’t go scot-free, like I said.

Foolish guy.
That’s him!
What she did is not fine but thats the thing ooo, she’ll go scot free, date a big man and start a family and life will be good to her and you’ll still be jobless and retch. Sometimes thats how life is like.
Wise up and move on and build yourself
Avoid office romance. It doesn’t end well. What she did was not right. After the dust settles, I’m sure she will regret her actions. Cheating is not a mistake oo.
Hmmmm
You got the punishment u deserve,u stole to impress a lady,it shows u dont have a focus and an unsteady person never succeed in life.
Who am I to judge you here brother? You shouldn’t steal or go out of your way to please a way bcos she will surely use it against you, she’ll also tell you to your face that she never asked you to do all that for her. I think what you need right now is to better yourself, send out CVs, tlk to people as well. I am sure God will forgive you and also give you a better job. As for your Ex work gf, just forget about her,
