The last time I heard from my baby daddy was in October last year. That was when I was asking for all the money he owed me. He asked me to send him my account number. I did, and till today, I still haven’t received any alert.

My boyfriend used to take money from me. “I need something small for something urgent,” he would say. Sometimes it was GH¢500, other times GH¢1,000, and it kept going like that. I got pregnant, and he himself promised to be a present father. I asked him, “How are you going to do that when you owe me so much? You have to pay that one first.” I called his bluff, so he asked me to calculate all the money he had borrowed from me, and he promised he would pay everything back.

My parents can’t even look me in the eye twice. They are so disappointed in how everything turned out. I took GH¢8,000 from my mother for him, and I am still yet to get my hands on that money. My relationship with her is going down the drain because of it. We are not on good terms anymore, and I have been left on my own throughout the pregnancy.

Honestly, I have forgotten the total amount that boy owes me. It was always in bits and pieces, so I completely lost count.

The only amount I remember clearly is the GH¢4,500 I borrowed from a friend for him. She has been asking me for her money for months now, and I honestly cannot blame her. Since I have been taking care of myself and all my expenses, I haven’t been able to pay her.
