My husband earns a little over GHC8,000 a month but whenever I ask him for money, he tells me he doesn’t have money and I’m here wondering what he does with all that money. This Christmas, I asked him to give me some money so I could buy clothes for the two kids. He asked, “Where are they going that they can’t wear the old ones? I don’t have money.”

I ended up buying them with my little income. I earn around GHC3,000 a month but I make sure I use my salary in a way that the family will benefit. My husband takes care of himself first and himself second. His parents hate me low-key because they think I’m the reason my husband doesn’t spend on them.
I overheard him shouting at his father on the phone because he asked for something small. “Do you think it’s easy here in Accra? I have two kids to feed and pay fees. I have rent and other things to pay. I don’t have money.”
He’s always crying about poverty yet he earns that much every month. I’m not asking him to take care of me or use all his money on the kids. That’s why I come in with the little I have.
One evening I asked him to buy pizza on his way home and this man shouted at me on the phone as if I’d requested half of his kidney. I said, “Chill, I will pay when you come home.” He answered, “If you have the money, then step out to buy it yourself.”
I bought the pizza and this man ended up eating three slices, more than anyone around here. Men ask what women use their money for but here, I’m the one who asks that question.

These are the options you have; He’s low-key taking care of someone else somewhere, probably his side chick/chicks, he’s repaying a debt he owed without your knowledge, he’s just a stingy man that wants to frustrate you, he’s used to you being the provider since dating period so he finds it difficult to spend his money on you or his children, and that’s how it will continue, he’s saving for a big project that doesn’t include you. Whatever the case, it’s left for you to decide. How painful will it be when you discover that he actually saved up to buy a property for his girlfriend or sponsor her somewhere. These things happen you know. Don’t allow anyone to use you.
But then is this house you’re living in rented? Are you the one solely footing all the bills? Can you survive financially alone without his input or support? What else are you benefiting from him?
Have you spoken to someone he really respects? If he doesn’t want verbal communication then send him a chat message on your stand and whatever you feel. May God help you
Call his father, tell him everything. Then call for a family meeting with both your family and his, then speak out. Finances are very important.
So you standing chase to chase and fight your hussband for his moneys?…womans should kneildown and ask him, that is respet. Anyways forgief him for peace
What nonsense is that
She should kneel down and beg him to take care of his responsibilities???
Your grammar is very bad don’t try to comment under people’s posts again
Your first and last warning
Nonsense indeed 😂😂
This sane of a person this is the second time am reading your comment u just like commenting rubbish.
8,000 cedis is not much if you live in Accra with the rent you guys pay. Does he pay for food? Rent? Children school fees every 4 months, medical bills? Do you guys have a building project going on? Fuel for car if he owns one? If you answer yes to many of these questions, believe me he make have nothing left for some of the demands you mentioned. You may feel 8000+ is big money until you are the one earning it. Maybe sit him down and suggest budgeting together as a family. You may see where the money goes. I make more than 9K most months but sometimes I don’t have money for little demands from my wife because, I budget to the last pesewa. If it is not in the budget and does not involve life and death, I am not spending. My wife says I don’t always have money. in mine case she knows where the money goes.
