I am a Catholic, and I take my Christian life seriously. Over the years, getting closer to God and knowing His word is something I have not taken for granted.
I am beginning to think I am a witch. I don’t tell people, not even my mom and dad, that I think I am a witch because they may think I am going mental, but that is what I think it is. I think so because of the multiple dreams I have been having since I was a kid. All of those dreams I have had have come to pass, many of them. Each time it happens, it returns to me like a déjà vu. If it is not witchcraft, then what is it?

I was managing it, but the dreams are becoming too much, too heavy for me to sleep very well. Strangers and family alike, I am having dreams about them and their lives, and it is eating me up. So much so that of late, I am scared to sleep.
My mom is my best friend. I can literally tell her about everything, but not this one. It started when I was a kid, about five years old. I once told a family member about what I saw in an old room in our family house because I was spending the night there. They just brushed it off. They said I had eaten too much.
It took a distant family member who believed me when I started describing what I saw in my dreams. She is the only person who believed me.
There is something I haven’t mentioned to anyone before, not even my mom. About two months ago, a man I barely knew walked up to me and told me something. He further described what it was like being me, which felt good somehow. But I denied having that kind of supernatural power and walked away.
That is not my main problem, though.
I have dreamt of something tragic happening to a relative. How do I warn him? He won’t believe me, just like other people. He will probably laugh it off.
My mom called me and said the exact thing I saw in my dream on Saturday. She said a man of God prophesied to her. I couldn’t tell my mother that what I saw in my dream was exactly what the man of God was saying.
On a normal day, I wouldn’t have believed the man of God, but the narration matched what I saw in my dream.
I woke up from the dreams screaming Jesus’ name. That woke my roommates up from their sleep.
My mom will be worried about these dreams and may even take it out of proportion, and I don’t want that. I am already stressed. My academics are on my neck, and this dream thing is haunting me.
Someone might think I am mentally not okay, but before God and man, I am mentally sound. Because if I should tell people what I see in my dreams about them and then they happen, they will say I am mad or that I have eaten too much.
I am happy when the good ones come to pass. I pray about my dreams. I want to be free. I have been able to hide what I see in my dreams for fifteen good years. Why now? I will never forgive myself if this dream manifests and I wasn’t able to do something about it.
Who Would You Choose, A Rich Man Or A Man Who’s Good In Bed?
It has taken a lot of courage to type this. I hope whoever is making me see these strange things would stop and have mercy on me.
Please, I am just 20. I want to be free from all these. This burden is weighing me down.

Its not witch craft sis. It is God giving you messages through dreams. Take God and his words seriously, he wants to use you.
Dreaming about things and they coming to pass and witchcraft are not one and the same thing. They are so different.
You may have a rare gift. Pray to God instead to give you not just dreams but also directions on what to do when you have those dreams
Dear Maame, you are not a witch.
God reveals to redeem. Please take your prayer life seriously. Ask God to help you understand what he needs from you and learn to sit still and hear what he has for you.
Don’t be scared to sleep. You have to sleep to be able to have a sound mind to study.
Also, believe that what you have is a gift and that’s the first step to be more comfortable. Sadly, you cannot save everyone, especially with the bad dreams so the best thing you can do is to pray and cancel any bad dreams you have.
You should be curious about why you have this ability instead of concluding it is bad and that you are a witch.
No, there’s nothing like praying and cancelling bad dreams.
She’s being shown those bad and good dreams, most probably, to know what’s to come and either prepare and welcome it or make moves to stop it from happening.
Her being shown bad dreams, doesn’t necessarily mean they would come to pass. I believe she’s being shown those bad dreams, to warn the people those dreams pertains to, about some specific things, so what happened in the bad dreams won’t manifest.
If she has a bad dream of someone dieing in a ghastly motor accident, and she wakes up, all she has to do, is locate the person the dream pertains to, and warn him/her not to board or travel by car anytime soon.
I’m quite sure if the person heeds this, what happened in the bad dream won’t manifest.
You have a gift from God,pray and tell the holy spirit to help and teach you more about it.
Speak with the CCR leaders in your parish. You have a gift. Whenever you dream, pray for the meaning and pray for the people you see as well.
God has given you a gift, revelation through dreams. You need discipleship for discernement. Which is itself another gift. Keep praying and focusing on Jesus. Denying the gift will be like rejecting your true self. How God made you to be. And missing your purpose.
Your family can not steward that gift only you and the Holy Spirit.
Keep on pressing in prayers, fasting and reading of the Word. Ask God to lead you somewhere you can be thaught how to minister to God and receive guidance and instructions.
Jesus loves you.
You might be a prophetess so seek guidance from a trusted man of God
You are a Dream Seer. What makes it a mental health condition is the fact that it’s beginning to cause you distress and possible anxiety.
Stay calm. Pray to God to show you what to do with the revelations- through interpretations and wisdom to understand. And keep building your faith and relationship with the Holy Spirit.
You would be blessed and alright. The Holy Trinity is really backing you, Sister.
And keep keeping records of all the revelations through dreams.
Maame, there is nothing wrong with you. The dreams you are having, are dreams God is showing you and telling you about people so you can tell them so they pray about it. Those are prophetic dreams. Find a book and write down your dreams and tell the people about them. Also pray for the people. Talk to your pastor about the dreams
You are not a witch Maame, you are a prophetic dreamer or what the Bible calls “dreamer of dreams”. I’m experiencing the same situation. At a point I got tired and didn’t want to sleep because some of the dreams were not even making sense and also I didn’t know what to do after waking up. I recently came across a man of God on YouTube who teaches specifically on prophets and “dreamers”. His name is Mz Mwakhe Tancredi. You can check him out and learn more about the gift. You are gifted dear. There’s a prophetic grace upon your life. As already suggested, you need mentorship and guidance. Also get a dream jorurnal, pray and study the Word more. Sadly, the church usually trivializes dreams and hardly teaches on stuff like these so many believers become frustrated and some don’t even realize its essence at all but it is well.
Dear Silentbeads,
Please can you help me get in touch with the young lady, if she wouldn’t mind. I know what this feels like, thank God for His direction, I was guided in the very same Catholic Church and I am allowed to use my gift in the same Catholic Church.
You have a rare gift of dream revelation, pray the Lord gives you a large heart to contain Divine mysteries and constantly ask God for His guidance anytime you have a dream, either good or negative.
Pray that God should send His servants to guide you on the path of your destiny and you will everything falling in pleasant lines.
Silentbeads pls be mindful of connecting people together on this platform, they could steal her rare gift since she’s naive.
To the religious commenters and readers…
Dreaming and anticipating outcomes (seeing the future) is just natural mental processing, but we tend to spiritualize it. The human mind is powerful enough to construct complex technology like the internet, so dreaming is where you guys draw the line?
If you look into how dreams work, you’ll see how impressive our cognitive abilities are. The brain learns, stores information, connects subtle patterns, and draws on deep-seated memories without any need for religious or mystical framing. This is universally observed and accepted among many terrestrial beings including humans and animals.
When I followed traditional religious paths, I used to think of these occurrences as visions. But over the last decade, as I shifted away from religion, those experiences faded. Once I understood that dreaming, seeing a vision or a trance or any of those normal mental abilities, isn’t a sign of being uniquely chosen, my perspective completely changed. Viewing these things through a rational lens makes it clear that we don’t need spiritual labels to appreciate normal human brain function.
Silent beads please ask her this for me; “which point does the witchcraft come in?” Just because her dreams materialise?
I don’t know how serious your prayer life is and I don’t also know how the Catholic you attend do their things. In my parish and unit for instance, we have what we call the Renewal. These people eat, bath, and do everything with prayer. They are the intercessors for the church. You won’t even believe they are catholics cause people have this assumptions that Catholics don’t pray. I recommend to you this prayer warriors group. And you wouldn’t regret joining them and I’m not sure you would ever term yourself as a witch. You would know your purpose and what you are meant for.
Speak to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in your Parish. I also have the gift and I am a Catholic Charismatic Renewal Member. It’s the beginning of a Prophet. By virtue of our baptism, we are a King, a Priest and a Prophet. So it is well.
