We broke up in the middle of March. In April, she was in another relationship. She owed me money. That was what I called for. Some days she would pick up my calls and tell me she would pay in a week or in a month. Other times, she wouldn’t pick up at all. I sensed she was trying to frustrate me so I would give up and not ask about the money again. But the amount was too huge to let it go.

I called one day and I’d been blocked. I sent a message on WhatsApp and I’d been blocked there too. Later in the evening, I called with a different line, and it went through. She gave the phone to her boyfriend to talk to me, and the first thing he said was, “Bro, if she no dey want you again, you no dey see? Give up, bro, ‘cos she’s not coming back.”
I called him a fool and cut the line. A few minutes later, I saw a line calling. I picked up, and he screamed, “You called me a fool? Me and you, who be fool? You wey dey pursue a woman who no dey want you? Kwasia boy.”
And then he dropped the line. While insulting me, I could hear my ex’s voice in the background, urging him on to say more.
I went through my archives. There was a video of us doing it. She was the one who recorded it and later sent it to me. When things were good, we were like two peas in a pod. We did crazier things. I cropped my face out of it and sent it as “view once” to the guy. I said, “Is that the same girl you’re saying didn’t want me? She worshipped the ground I walked on. Maybe you can help her pay my money so I don’t call her again.”
He didn’t come back. Instead, he also blocked me. And then I received a long voice note from my ex, shouting and calling me a disgrace to the human race and threatening to have me arrested. She said I’ll suffer in life and that the woman I’ll marry will cheat on me because of what I’d done. I responded, “Make sure you pay my money before the arrest, or we’ll both arrest each other.”
It’s been several weeks. She hasn’t paid my money, and I haven’t stopped calling her. The last conversation we had, she said, “You pushed my man away, and you still want me to pay you? You must be dreaming.”

I laughed and said, “The fool couldn’t stand to see your lying past? If you try me again with another silly person, it will over for you.”
No matter how long she drags this on, she will pay that amount before I leave her to enjoy her life.
