I am an okada rider, and I got into a serious accident in May. I was lying on a hospital bed, and the one person I wanted by my side was my girlfriend. So, I called her and told her what had happened. She panicked and assured me she would be there very soon. I was waiting to see her face and for her to hold my hands, but she didn’t come.
Throughout the days I spent in the hospital, she didn’t show up or send me a message to explain why she couldn’t come. After I was discharged, I called her countless times, but she didn’t pick up. She later responded to one of my text messages to complain that she couldn’t come because, when she sat down to think about it, I wasn’t giving her enough attention.

I was like, “Ah, but you know the kind of work I do! I ride for a living, and I’ve always made my schedule clear to you. You know when I’m working, when I’m free, and when you can call me. How do you expect me to ride on the road and talk on the phone at the same time? My life is literally at stake! Is that why you didn’t visit me in the hospital?”
I believe a relationship requires understanding, patience, and support from both sides. I may be busy, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care.
Up until today, she hasn’t made any effort to clarify where we stand or show me otherwise. So, as far as I’m concerned, that chapter is closed. I’ve moved on mentally, even though we didn’t have a proper conversation to officially end the relationship.
