`I am in my early thirties, and I like older women. I admire their maturity, confidence, experience, and the way they carry themselves. My intentions are genuine, yet most of the older women I approach turn me down. It is no news that some boys have decided to play with the hearts of these women, but some of us are honest and real and just want a chance. Hmm.

Last year, I gathered the courage to approach a woman at Accra Mall and got her contact details. We started talking, it wasn’t easy convincing her that I was serious and wasn’t after her riches.

She agreed to go on a date with me after three whole months. I footed all the bills. I footed all the bills. Things were going well until she revealed her marital status but was quick to add, “He is abroad, so we can have a little fun on the side if you don’t mind.”

I really liked her, but I had to refuse her proposal. I have made a promise to myself not to touch anything that belongs to another man. That was how things ended between us.

But one thing I know is that she liked me because I dared to approach her and was intentional about getting to know her.

Since then, finding another older woman who is willing to give me a chance has not been easy. I believe some of them have had bad experiences with younger men, and that has made it difficult for them to trust us.

Honestly, I don’t want to have anything to do with these Gen Z girls anymore. I know some are good, but somehow, I am always meeting the bad ones.

To me, older women are the best, and I am hoping that one day, I will find one who will give me a chance.
