My boyfriend cheated on me and also transferred money from my MoMo wallet to his wallet without telling me. I could forgive the MoMo issue, but the cheating hit differently because of the kind of girl he cheated with. I broke up with him the very day I found out. I went to his place to collect my stuff. That was when he decided to apologize, two clear weeks later.
I didn’t listen. I gathered my things and left him for good.
He had left one of his shorts in my room, a basketball short that I loved to wear on casual days. One day, my elder sister asked me to escort her to town to buy some stuff. I wore the shorts with a T-shirt.
When we stepped out of the shop, I saw my ex walking into the shop with his two friends. He said hi, but I ignored him. Then he said, “I’m not saying hi because of anything. I want my knicker back.”
He ran and stood in my way, asking me to give him his shorts. My sister was already seated in the car. She didn’t know what was going on. His two friends came over to pull him away. He said, “Chale, naaa, I have to take my knicker. She can’t keep it when she has already come for everything that belonged to her.”
His friends asked, “Do you want her to go home naked?” He responded, “I don’t care.”
I went to the car, rolled the windows up, took off the shorts, and threw them out of the door.
My sister was like, “Are you crazy?” I said, “Let’s go.” I had to use my sister’s scarf to cover my lap until we got home. The next morning, I saw his call on my phone. My sister was with me. She said, “Let me answer him.” She screamed on the phone, “You see that money you stole from her MoMo? Keep it, but also keep whatever comes your way from now on.”
I Called My Girlfriend And Another Man Answered The Phone
He said he was calling to apologize for collecting his shorts, but my sister didn’t give him a second to continue. She ended the call. Around 6:00 p.m. that same day, my phone beeped. He had sent back my money, including the charges. I forgot the shame he had almost caused me and laughed my head off.
My sister asked, “What can we say about the cheating?” I answered, “Let’s call him and ask him to go and un-cheat or else…” And then we burst out laughing. Some men don’t respect love until you include curses.
